2007 SIM Annual Meeting & Exhibition

The 2007 SIM annual meeting, to be held July 29-August 2 at the Hyatt
Regency Denver, will feature three pre-meeting workshops, over 35
outstanding symposia in the Society's five core topic areas, two poster
sessions, special lectures, roundtables, a special session convened by
the US Federation for Culture Collections, and an exhibit hall featuring
the latest in biotechnology products and services. In addition, a vibrant
social program featuring receptions, luncheons, the Alma Dietz Actinomycete
lecture and dinner and the Annual SIM banquet provide ample networking
opportunities.
Space is still available for the annual meeting workshops to be held Sunday, July 29. See workshop descriptions and register while spaces are still available.
Poster boards will be available for set-up at 1:00 pm Sunday, July 29. All posters for both sessions should be displayed no later than 5:00 pm.
Each poster sessions is 2 hours in length. Authors should be available during that time to answer questions, expand on the material and take part in discussions. The following guidelines have been adopted.

Posters should be mounted on assigned boards. Locate your poster number
in the meeting program. Your poster number will be posted on your board prior
to set up. Please adhere to the poster size listed below.
3. POSTER SIZE FOR 2007.The poster board surface area is 4 feet high
by 4 feet wide.
4. Charts, drawings and illustrations should be at least 11”x14” on regular weight paper, not mounted on cardboard. Type should be easily legible at a distance of several feet. Figure legends are essential and should be short but informative. You may also find it useful to bring a sketch-paper tablet (9”x12”)
and felt marking pens for use during discussions. Please do not write, draw or
paste on the poster boards.
5. Poster pins will be available at the SIM Registration Desk.
